It charges 30% per transaction when a new customer finds you through Gumroad Discover. Gumroad says it is the merchant of record and handles sales tax. The same page says you can sell digital products, e-books, courses, tutorials, and memberships, and that physical goods are not allowed. Payouts are direct deposit or PayPal, and which method you get depends on the country.

AIMarket24’s price

Listing on AIMarket24 is free. The platform keeps 15% of each sale. The first 50 sellers who publish a live listing are founding sellers and pay 5% for six months. Buyers pay into escrow. Earnings are released after the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 3 days after delivery if no problem is reported. A bank payout is a separate later step.

Put the percentages next to each other only for a like-for-like sale. A buyer who already has your link is 10% plus $0.50 on Gumroad, and 15% (or 5% founding) here, with no extra $0.50 in our rule. A buyer who discovers you inside Gumroad Discover is 30% there. A buyer who discovers you inside AIMarket24 is the same 15% or 5%, because there is no second, higher discovery rate. On a $20 direct Gumroad sale, their published math is $2 plus $0.50. On a $20 AIMarket24 sale the standard commission is $3. On a $20 Discover sale, Gumroad’s published rate is $6. Do that math on your own price; the shape changes as the price rises because of the flat $0.50.

What the stores ask you to specify

Gumroad will host the file. It will not require you to say “this is an n8n workflow” or “this bot is hosted.” You can still write that in the description, and you should. The product is whatever the file is. AIMarket24 makes you pick a type and categories, and the scope of delivery is what the buyer confirms. For an AI tool, that structure is the reason to use a narrower marketplace. For a PDF course, Gumroad’s structure matches the product and ours does not add much.

Escrow is the other structural difference. Gumroad pays creators through its payout method. AIMarket24 holds the payment until delivery is confirmed, then releases earnings, and the bank payout is a later step that is not live as an instant transfer on opening day. If you want the money on Gumroad’s payout rails as soon as their system allows, say that honestly when you choose. If you want the buyer held until the JSON imports, escrow is the feature you came for.

Discover, search, and audiences

Discover is why Gumroad’s 30% exists: they charge more when they bring a new customer. AIMarket24 does not publish a separate discovery fee. It also does not publish a promise about how many buyers will browse in the first month. The marketplace is not open yet. Anyone who offers you a traffic number for either store, from this site, is not using a figure we measured.

The buyer on Gumroad might be looking for a course. The buyer on AIMarket24 is looking for an agent, a bot, a workflow, a prompt, or a connector. If your file is an e-book about prompting, Gumroad’s catalog is the closer crowd. If your file is the workflow itself, the AI marketplace is the closer crowd. The fee is the second question.

Practical split

Sell the course or the membership where a general digital store already fits, and use the pricing page before you turn Discover on, because 30% is a different business from 10% plus $0.50. Sell the importable AI product where the listing type, the duplicate check, and escrow match the way the buyer evaluates it. You can sell a guide on Gumroad and the workflow on AIMarket24. Say so in both descriptions so nobody thinks the PDF includes the JSON.

Checks before you migrate a catalog

Export a clean file with no customer data and no API keys. Rewrite the sales page so the scope is a list, not a vibe. Decide whether you are selling source, a hosted service, or a prompt. Recalculate take-home at your real price using Gumroad’s 10% plus $0.50, Gumroad’s 30% if Discover applies, and 15% or 5% here. Then read the payout country rules on Gumroad if you depend on PayPal or a local bank. We do not restate every country.

The duplicate rule on AIMarket24 will reject a listing that is 95% or more similar to one already here. It will not stop you from also selling on Gumroad. It will stop a second seller from uploading your file as if it were new, once yours is the one in the catalog.
