An alternative is only cheaper in some cases. On a direct $10 sale, 10% plus $0.50 is $1.50, and 15% is also $1.50. On a direct $100 sale, 10% plus $0.50 is $10.50, and 15% is $15. On a Discover sale the published 30% is higher than 15% at any normal price. Founding sellers on AIMarket24 pay 5% for six months, which is lower than both of Gumroad’s published rates on the examples above, for those first 50 live listings. Run your own price. The $0.50 makes small sales closer than the percentages suggest.
What changes when you move an AI product
You still deliver a file or access. You add a product type and a scope: what is in the zip, which n8n version, which keys, whether you host the bot. The buyer confirms that scope under escrow. You lose Gumroad’s Discover placement and whatever audience you had there. You do not automatically gain one here. The market is open. There is no historical traffic to promise.
Leave the course on Gumroad if the buyers are course buyers. Move the workflow, the bot, or the agent if the buyers need the type, the audit badge, and the confirmation step. A zip on Gumroad can remain the backup delivery while you see whether the new listing actually sells. Nothing requires you to delete the old product on day one.
How selling works after the move
Listing on AIMarket24 is free. The platform keeps 15% of each sale. The first 50 sellers who publish a live listing are founding sellers and pay 5% for six months. Buyers pay into escrow. Earnings are released after the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 3 days after delivery if no problem is reported. A bank payout is a separate later step.
The sell form asks for a price of at least $1. Write the credential list and strip secrets before you upload. Listings that are 95% or more similar to an existing one are rejected, so upload your own file first if you are the author. An optional code audit covers security, dependencies, quality, and license for code-heavy products. A prompt or a pure workflow may not need it.
Merchant of record and tax
Gumroad’s pricing page makes a point of being merchant of record and handling sales tax. That is a real service, especially if you sell to many countries and do not want to think about tax settings. AIMarket24’s public product rules, as described here, are about commission and escrow. This page does not claim that AIMarket24 replaces a merchant-of-record tax product. If tax handling is the main reason you use Gumroad, do not migrate on a fee comparison alone. Read your own obligations, or keep the store that already files them.
The same caution applies the other way. Escrow is not a tax product, and a lower commission is not a tax filing. Separate the questions: who takes a cut, who holds the money until delivery, and who remits tax. Gumroad’s page answers the first and the third for its own checkout. A move that does not strand buyers
Keep the Gumroad receipt and the file available for people who already paid. Your new listing is for the next buyer. If the product is updated, decide which store gets the update so you do not maintain two incompatible versions by accident. Put the support channel in both descriptions.
