GPT Store alternative
The GPT Store is a directory of custom GPTs inside ChatGPT. It is not a general store for workflows, bots, or source code. If you need to sell the files, or buy something you can run outside one chat product, you need a different catalog.

What the GPT Store is, according to OpenAI
OpenAI’s help page on sharing and publishing GPTs describes custom GPTs as a ChatGPT feature, not as a download marketplace. Personal ChatGPT accounts on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro cannot create or publish new GPTs. Existing GPTs remain usable and can still be edited. In Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces, creating and publishing depends on workspace settings. OpenAI says it plans to retire custom GPTs. For affected Enterprise workspaces, that retirement is planned for December 11, 2026.
That page does not publish a seller commission. This guide does not invent one. If you are deciding where a GPT-shaped product should live, the missing number matters: you cannot compare a payout you have not been shown. The source is OpenAI’s own article, linked from the comparison below, checked with the rest of these facts on October 25, 2026.
What a GPT Store alternative has to replace
People searching for a GPT Store alternative usually have one of three problems. They built instructions that work and want to be paid. They want a bot or a workflow, not a chat configuration that only runs while someone is inside ChatGPT. Or their account is not allowed to publish a new GPT, so the Store is not a path even if the idea is good.
AIMarket24 is the alternative built around the file or the service, not around one assistant. You can list an agent, a workflow, a bot, a plugin or MCP server, code, a prompt pack, an API, or a setup service. The buyer is not required to have a particular ChatGPT plan. They need whatever the listing says they need: a model key, a host, or nothing but the download.
Turning a GPT into something you can sell
A custom GPT is mostly instructions, tools, and sometimes files. Those instructions can be sold as a prompt or a skill, with the model they were tested on and an example of input and output. If the GPT called actions, the sellable version is often an MCP server or a small agent that performs the same calls, with the permissions written out. If it was a support bot, the sellable version may be a website or Telegram bot with the same knowledge base.
Say what the buyer does not get. They do not get a listing inside ChatGPT, and they do not inherit whatever distribution the GPT Store used to provide. They get the package you describe. That honesty is what makes the alternative usable. A page that pretends to be “the new GPT Store” without the chat product around it will disappoint the buyer on the first install.
Fees and payouts you can actually check
Listing on AIMarket24 is free. The platform keeps 15% of each sale. The first 50 sellers who publish a live listing are founding sellers and pay 5% for six months. The buyer pays into escrow. The seller is paid after the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 3 days after delivery if no problem is reported. A bank payout is a later step and is not an instant transfer.
PromptBase, which does publish rates, charges 20% on marketplace prompt sales, 0% when the buyer uses your referral link, and 10% on custom jobs. Its sell page describes prompts and agent skills. That is a prompt store, not a GPT Store, and it is a different alternative if all you have is text. Gumroad publishes 10% plus $0.50 on direct sales and 30% when a new customer buys through Discover. Gumroad is a general digital store. Use those pages, linked from the comparisons, before you move a catalog. Do not add a GPT Store percentage that OpenAI has not printed.
Who should stay, and who should list elsewhere
Stay with a custom GPT if your buyers already live in a ChatGPT workspace that still allows the GPT, and if you do not need to deliver source code or an importable workflow. The product and the audience are in the same window. That convenience is real for as long as the workspace allows it.
List elsewhere if you need a price, a file, escrow, or buyers who are not ChatGPT users. AIMarket24 is live. You can join the seller account and draft the scope now: what the GPT did, what the buyer must install, which model key they need, and what “working” means. The duplicate check rejects uploads that are 95% or more similar to an existing listing, which matters if the same prompt pack is already for sale.
How to read this page
This is not a review score and not a user count. OpenAI’s retirement timing and account rules can change; the help page is the source, and the date we checked it is October 25, 2026. AIMarket24’s commission and escrow rules are the ones in the product, not an estimate.
If your next step is buying rather than selling, start from the job. A packaged agent, a website chatbot, and a prompt pack solve different problems. The marketplace will put them in different product types so you do not pay for a chat configuration when you needed a workflow.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a GPT Store alternative?
Yes, for products that are not custom GPTs inside ChatGPT: agents, bots, workflows, prompts, MCP servers, and code, with escrow. It does not publish your GPT into OpenAI's store.
Is AIMarket24 a GPT Store replacement inside ChatGPT?
No. Listings are agents, bots, workflows, prompts, MCP servers, code, APIs, and services. They are not custom GPTs published into ChatGPT.
Does the GPT Store publish a seller commission?
OpenAI’s current help page on sharing and publishing GPTs does not publish a seller commission. This page does not guess one.
Can I still sell the instructions from a GPT?
Yes. Package them as a prompt or skill, or rebuild the actions as an agent or MCP server, and describe the model and setup the buyer needs.
What does AIMarket24 charge?
Listing is free. The platform keeps 15% of a sale, or 5% for six months for the first 50 sellers who publish a live listing. Buyers pay into escrow.
