How to price an n8n workflow
By Fadi Al-Achek ·
A practical way to choose a price for a workflow you already run. No average from a sample card, and no fee that the other store did not print.

Price the job, not the canvas
An n8n workflow is a JSON file plus the hours you spent making it fail less often. Buyers do not pay for the number of nodes. They pay to avoid rebuilding the same trigger, the same model step, and the same error branch. If you cannot name the job in one sentence, you do not have a price yet. “Enriches a new lead and writes a five-line summary into the CRM” can be priced. “Marketing automation” cannot.
Start from the buyer’s first month. How many times will they run it, and how long did the manual version take? A workflow that saves twenty minutes a day is a different product from a workflow that saves twenty minutes once. You do not need their exact wage. You need a reason the number is not random. Write that reason in the listing so the price is an argument, not a guess you copied from a screenshot.
Best selling n8n workflows, without a chart
People ask which are the best selling n8n workflows. This site does not publish a bestseller list, unit counts, or a rank. Anyone who gives you a top-ten with sales figures they did not measure is guessing. What buyers can compare, and therefore what is easier to sell, is a workflow with one named job, a clean JSON export, a credential list, and a short support window.
The jobs that show up in that kind of listing are ordinary: a new lead summarized into a CRM, an inbox draft that a person still sends, fields pulled from a file into a sheet, one article turned into two posts. “Marketing automation” is harder to sell because the buyer cannot tell what arrives. If you want patterns for those jobs before you price one, the examples guide walks through them without pretending they are a sales ranking.
What has to be in the package before a number makes sense
Include the exported JSON with credentials removed. Include the n8n version you tested, self-hosted or Cloud, and any community nodes. List every credential the buyer must create and every field they must change. Add one sample input and the output you expect. Add the failure behavior: what the workflow does when the model times out or a column is missing. If you skip those, you are pricing a puzzle, and the buyer will treat the price as optional.
Support and updates are either in the price or they are not. “I answer import questions for 14 days” is a concrete add-on. “Lifetime updates” is a promise you should not make unless you mean it, because n8n nodes change. A clean approach is a one-time file price, plus an optional short support window you describe. Do not hide a required paid app plan. If a node needs a CRM seat or a model key, say the buyer brings it. You do not need to invent the vendor’s current price.
A number you can recompute
This site does not publish an average n8n workflow price. The sample prices on the homepage are samples, and the preview says so. Anyone selling you “workflows go for $29” as a fact is reading a mock card. Pick a price you would pay to skip the rebuild, then check what you keep.
On AIMarket24, listing is free and the platform keeps 15% of the sale. The first 50 sellers who publish a live listing are founding sellers and pay 5% for six months. On a $100 sale that is $85 at the standard rate and $95 at the founding rate. On a $40 sale it is $34 and $38. The sell form asks for a price in dollars with a minimum of $1. There is no separate Discover rate. Escrow means the buyer’s payment is held until they confirm the delivery matches the listing, or for 3 days after delivery if they do not report a problem. The bank payout is a later step and is not instant on launch day.
Other stores, only where they print a fee
n8n’s Creator Hub help page says anyone can submit templates, new creators submit one at a time, and after three approved templates a verified creator can publish paid templates. That page does not publish a commission or a payout rule. Do not subtract a made-up n8n percentage from your price. If you also submit there, treat it as a second shelf with an unknown take rate until they print one.
Gumroad’s pricing page says 10% plus $0.50 on sales through your profile or direct links, and 30% when a new customer buys through Discover. There is no monthly fee. They are the merchant of record. A $100 direct sale is $10.50 under that formula. A $100 Discover sale is $30. Gumroad will host the file. It will not write your credential list for you. PromptBase is the wrong comparison unless you are selling the prompt text rather than the workflow; its published rates are 20% on marketplace prompt sales, 0% via your referral link, and 10% on custom jobs.
One-time price, support, and updates
Most workflow buyers expect a file they keep. A subscription is justified when you host the workflow or you ship node updates on a schedule you actually follow. If you are not going to do that, charge once. You can still sell a second listing later when the workflow grows. Splitting “the file” and “14 days of import help” is clearer than one number that might mean either.
Raise the price when the workflow has more credentials, more apps, and a real error path. Lower it when a careful person could rebuild it from n8n’s own docs in an hour. Free templates exist in the sense that creators publish workflows for import, including through n8n’s library. AIMarket24 is not that free library. If your workflow is a light edit of a public template, check the license before you sell it, and expect the 95% similarity check to reject a near-copy of something already listed.
Put the price on the page like this
Title: the job. First lines: the trigger, the model step, and where the result goes. Then the file list, the version, the credentials, and the support window. Then the price. Then what the buyer still pays elsewhere, in words, not a fake total: their n8n plan, their model key, their CRM seat. Buyers who see that list argue with the scope, which is useful. Buyers who see only a number argue with you after escrow opens.
The marketplace is live. Sellers on the catalog can prepare the listing first. Joining also includes 7 days of Premium and 50 build tokens for the workshop, at $1 a token. Those tokens do not change the commission. The founding 5% rate starts when you publish a live listing, and only for the first 50 sellers who do.

Frequently asked questions
What should I charge for an n8n workflow?
Charge for the hours the buyer does not rebuild, the number of apps involved, and whether you include support. AIMarket24 does not publish an average market price. Sample cards on the homepage are samples.
Which n8n workflows sell best?
There is no bestseller chart on AIMarket24. Workflows with one named job, a clean export, and a support window you can describe are the ones a buyer can compare. A vague automation is harder to price and harder to sell.
What does AIMarket24 keep?
15% of the sale, or 5% for six months if you are one of the first 50 sellers to publish a live listing. Listing is free. On a $100 sale you keep $85, or $95 at the founding rate.
What does n8n charge creators?
The public Creator Hub help page does not publish a commission. It does say verified creators can publish paid templates after three approvals.
What does Gumroad charge if I sell the file there?
Gumroad’s pricing page says 10% plus $0.50 on direct sales and 30% when a new customer buys through Discover. No monthly fee.
